About this movie

Will Smith stars in this moving tale inspired by the true story of Chris Gardner, a San Francisco salesman struggling to build a future for himself and his 5-year-old son Christopher (Jaden Smith). When his girlfriend Linda (Thandie Newton) walks out, Chris is left to raise Christopher (Jaden Smith) on his own. Chris' determination finally pays off when he lands an unpaid internship in a brutally competitive stockbroker-training program, where only one in twenty interns will make the cut. But without a salary, Chris and his son are evicted from their apartment and are forced to sleep on the streets, in homeless shelters and even behind the locked doors of a metro station bathroom. With self-confidence and the love and trust of his son, Chris Gardner rises above his obstacles to become a Wall Street legend. A heart warming and breaking movie. The struggles of trying to keep going after being knocked down and trying to provide and support your family. Brilliant acting, and even more so its father and son off set. Very moving and i agree money isnt everything, but it makes the world go round unfortunately. It cant buy love, but love and devotion was clearly at the pit of this mans heart..he wasnt pursuing this out of greed, you could feel he had his family and the future of his kids in heart and soul. Loved this movie and it gives a good feeling of how no matter how much you may get knocked down, get back up, keep fighting esp if you have the thought of your kids and wife, get back up keep fighting. This man did, dreams do come true, Chris Gardener is proof of that. Amazing ending for an amazing man Xx

I'm a capitalist, but the definition of happiness in this movie is kind of sick - he makes his child stay in a homeless shelter for his selfish goals. Terrible film.

An uplifting movie for anyone finding their feet and knowing how to pick oneself up when everything's gone.
