The Walking Dead has gotten consistently better with each season. What you have to remember about this show, is that it isn't about the zombies, its more of a character piece about how the people involved in this situation deal with it, and how they are changed by what they are forced to do to survive. This season's main Story Arc is focuses on Rick and his personal struggle trying to turn his back on the violence he was forced into during Season 3, and the final realisation that he may have to do many more extreme things to ensure that his family survives in this new world. The 1st half of this season is slow, and utterly oppressing, you have to push through this as a viewer to get to 2nd half of the season. There are scenes near the end of this season that are shocking and brutally violent, its made or the more extreme in that the it's juxtaposed with flashbacks to when our group of survivors have attained a brief period of peace; I felt that the finale of this show is some-what of an anitclimax, it's meant to be a cliffhanger but I felt it missed the point somewhat. However the final line delivered by Rick also shows how far he's come and what he's willing to do go...

The acting is forced, wooden and fake and none of the actors suit the roles they play, least of all the main character who is supposed to have a tough persona with leadership qualities - it just doesn't suit the actor at all. The best acting is from some of he sideline characters, which is disappointing. The main character and his so called best friend seem to have both caught the same habit of straining their voices in an attempt to sound tougher, and with over the top mannerisms straight out of drama school. HOWEVER, for some reason I can't stop watching it; the storyline is good, as is the very idea of such a series; it's the first zombie related screen production I've ever seen where the characters show some level of respect for the infected, remembering they were once people - a refreshing change from the stereotypical plot usually associated with the zombie theme, and I imagine, an attempt to portray a degree of realism. I can only imagine just how much better The Walking Dead would be with better actors, or at the very least, a role change of those currently in it.

I do not know why everybody is so excited about this TV Show - it is a total rubbish. They drag story, emphasise emotional scenes about which I don't give a shit and the whole idea of the 7th season is SHIT. Some 50 kilo thin dude with board walks around and TV Show creators try to convince me that he is the most scariest person in the world and no one ! no one, and one more time - NO ONE can just shoot him in the face despite that every second character in this TV Show dies with such ease. absurd, naive and silly.
