About this show

Hip-hop artist and CEO of Empire Entertainment, Lucious Lyon, has always ruled unchallenged, but a medical diagnosis predicts he will be incapacitated in three years, which prompts the sharks to circle. Without further damaging his family, he must decide which of his three sons will take over. His favorite, young Hakeem, is a gifted musician but values fame over hard work. Middle son, Jamal, is talented and shy but gay -- embarrassing to Lyon. The oldest, Andre, is business-minded but lacks charisma. The reappearance of Cookie, his ex-wife, complicates things; she says he owes her for taking the fall for the drug-running that financed his early career.

absolutely amazing. excellent talent, fabulous music. I am truly hooked can't wait for more episodes. having withdrawal symptoms already. To leave it on such a cliff hanger my mind is blown!!!

Empire is great. I've watched it over and over, and I can not find one flaw. Terrence Howard, Taraji Henson, Jussie Smollett and Yazz are excellent in this show. Watching it on E4 and so far, I absolutely can not wait for season 2. Amazing storyline and lovely music (especially You're So Beautiful). Cool.

I totally recommend watching empire because all the characters perform with abaolute perfection especially Terrence howard and tarji p Henson and every episode leaves you with the most intense cliffhangers ever! PS. Its now on 5star in england
