Flight

Flight has a lot going for it but peaks too early.- a very racy opening sequence then a thrilling section in a cockpit. Then there is some meandering from then on. The soundtrack is very off putting throughout, too. Denzel Washing is his normal cool self and he doesn't allow the total loss of cool needed to portray an alcoholic. Kelly Reilly is better bit again the rock bottom appears some way off. Also, it took a while to appreciate she wasn't the woman introduced in the opening scene.

Superb film. Very dramatic and very believable. Denzel Washington does a fantastic job at acting out a very serious matter that affects a large number of people worldwide everyday. The ending is a nice twist that changes very quickly and the whole film is just excellent. I'm glad I rented this, and I will almost certainly purchase it. I recommend this to everyone!

Not an action film, not an air crash investigation movie, a thoroughly depressing look at a man's life unwinding. Not to say it's not a very good movie with good performances but it's not a barrel of laughs.
