After the Philadelphia PD detectives discover their notebook is missing, they call Mike and Jimmy in for questioning. Before they can get started, however, Jimmy returns the notebook, claiming he found it in the parking lot. Though the younger detective is sure he's lying, after being reassured that the case will soon go away, Mike dismisses Jimmy as his lawyer. At Chuck's house, Jimmy is surprised to find him outside acclimating to electromagnetic radiation as part of a plan to get back to work. After telling Chuck how proud he is of him, Jimmy asks to store some files at his house until he has the space to keep them. But when Chuck's curiosity gets the best of him, he starts looking through the boxes, unaware that Jimmy is watching. At a fancy new building he’s considering for his new elder law practice, Jimmy shows Kim a corner office that he says is hers if she'll be his partner. Telling Jimmy she has a lot invested at HHM, Kim heads back to work to meet with clients Craig and Betsy Kettleman. Because they are likely to lose their case if it goes to trial, Kim says Craig can avoid 30 years in prison if he admits guilt and returns the $1.6 million he stole in exchange for 16 months in county jail. But when Betsy insists he’s done nothing wrong and that there is no money to return, they fire HHM and go back to see Jimmy. Although Jimmy says he's too busy to take their case, they remind him of the bribe they gave him as a "retainer." Excusing himself to use the men’s room, he calls Kim, who begs him to get them back to HHM. But when Jimmy tells the Kettlemans he couldn't get them a better deal than what's already been offered, they claim they are all in it together and insist he get started. After seeing Kim being punished at HHM for losing the Kettlemans as clients, Jimmy can't find anything to exonerate Craig, so he turns to Mike for help. Using the last of the bribe they gave Jimmy, Mike sets an ingenious trap that creates a trail inside the Kettlemans'
