About this movie

From acclaimed director Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Prometheus) comes the epic adventure EXODUS, the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Using state of the art visual effects and 3D immersion, Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses (Christian Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharoah Ramses (Joel Edgerton), setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.

This movie had potential, a retelling of the old biblical story but minus the proselytizing. It had a good cast, good director, and all the CGI you would want. However, in the bid to keep it under three hours, much of it apparently ended up on the cutting room floor. It takes disjointed leaps forward and seems to flip/flop between trying to keep the supernatural out of it while keeping the plagues and parting of the Red Sea only to gloss over the presenting of the ten commandments. It just felt clumsy, which is not something I'd expect from Scott. Maybe there's a six hour director's cut waiting in the wings but, meh.

Unbelieveable... this is an atheist perspective and removes all miracles and doesn't follow any scripture. I expected it to have some embellishments because that's what zionist do. but this goes a whole different route. I remember watching on the Discovery Channel these very concepts of the miracles being explained as a rash of coincidences. the worst is the portrayal of God Almighty as a child with a temper... May Allah curse these people and their rebellious nature. If I could give this movie a zero star I would... just when you thought nothing could be worse than that disasterous movie Noah.... out comes this trash.

Yes this movie was horrible. And I am a believer. However, really sick and tired of people calling the movie EVIL or THE WORK OF SATAN. it's a movie, plain and simple. You don't have to like it, I don't, but please don't pretend to speak in the name of God. You don't know what God wants and if he has a problem with the people who made this film, or the people who like it, it's between them and you have no say. Personally, I'd like to think God has better things to do than concern himself with a bad movie
