The Double

The mysterious murder of a US Senator bears the distinctive mark of a Soviet cold war assassin, code name Cassius.

A retired CIA operative Paul Shepherdson (Richard Gere 'Brooklyn's Finest') is co-opted to pair up with a young FBI agent (Topher Grace 'Predators') to solve the murder. Convinced that Cassius has long been dead after having spent his career tracking down the killer, Shepherdson unwillingly takes the case after his former supervisor Tom Highland (Martin Sheen), challenges him to prove his theory correct against recent evidence that says otherwise. Meanwhile Agent Geary, who has intensively studied Cassius' history, also believes that Cassius has re-emerged and has resumed his killing spree.

As the two men work their way through each crime scene, emerging clues begin to unravel and reveal that Cassius may not be the person they've thought him to be all along. And THE DOUBLE may now be threatening their lives. 2011 Historical Holdings Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
