The storytelling is languorous and reflexive, weaving multiple narratives and themes of family, wealth and trust, forwards and backwards from various perspectives. It features clever writing and gorgeous filmography. but if you're looking for fast paced this isn't it. Trust luxuriates in the story as much as it luxuriates in the wealth on display, the soundtrack and the locations. Casting is phenomenal with special mentions to the two most terrifying characters: Getty Snr and Primo, played by Donald Sutherland and Luca Marinelli. They each devour every scene they are in and it is worth it, but the rest of the cast are captivating too. Brendan Fraser is solid as the security officer/ narrator and Harris Dickenson is convincing as the wild-child Getty Jnr.
