About this show

Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

This one of those rare instances of a side story and spin-off actually coming to equal quality with its original. Slower paced, but much more attentive to character development. You start to feel connected to Saul Goodman after the first episode with the excellent portrayal of an everyman trying to decent in an indecent time. Well worth watching if you don't mind a slower paced, skewed look at the before happenings of Breaking Bad.

I loved Breaking Bad and thought Bryan Cranston's performances helped give the show its edge. My initial thoughts was Saul Goodmans character would not be strong enough to make a spin off work. The first 15 minutess reinforced that but by the end of the first episode I have completely changed my mind. Now as with Breaking Bad I am hanging for the next episode.

This series is set some years before Breaking Bad. It shows the life of a lawyer, saul before he met Walter White. He is a lawyer trying to do right but gets dragged into the evil ways of life! There are many twist & turns in this story and it keeps you on your feet! A brilliant original contept/story. This is a must see for any breaking bad fan.
