I Saw the Light is the story of the legendary country western singer Hank Williams (Tom Hiddleston), who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life. Also starring Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Whitford, David Krumholtz and Cherry Jones.

I saw the light is missing a lot of Hank's life highlights and low lights. This movie never grabs the viewer. Though Tom Hiddleston is perfect to portray Hank as is Elizabeth Olsen as Audrey. This movie has great actors, it's just a shame that the story of Hank Williams life wasn't told to it's full potential. This movie tells a mediocre story at best. The soundtrack is still musical gold. As a lover of bio pics I feel this one is a let down.
