Blue Jasmine

This is one of my most favourite films of all time. It's an amazing little character study - with THE BEST soundtrack. Beautifully crafted (with perfect, hysterical acting from Cate Blanchett), Blue Jasmine maintains its tension until the shocking end. I can see how it would not be to everyone's taste, but if you enjoy nuance and detail and small tales of ordinary life, then this could be for you. I cannot rave enough about the soundtrack - it's a masterpiece in itself.

Of course Cate is a brilliant actress, every time. But this movie is pointless, has a weird ending and is a waste of time. There's a whole bunch of no names playing alongside Cate who act terribly too.

It's a movie for mature people about relationships... that's no suprise from Director Woody Allen.. however the story is great and it's the best performance I've ever seen by Cate.. hope she gets the Oscar for this one!!
