Worth watching but keep in mind its very apt classification as a "Sci-Fi & Fantasy" film. If you can look past its innumerable breaches (no pun intended) of the laws of physics and the nature of real-life space and the solar system, NASA's shameless self-promotion of itself and it's capabilities, semi-disguised as subliminal messages dotted and sprinkled throughout the film with such regularity that it will most likely leave most audience's with an over-inflated and undeserved positive opinion of NASA. This somewhat disguises and deflects the attention, again, to probably most people, to NASA's untold shame, crimes and lies going all the way back to the 1950's. Still, if you can look past all that, this film has many other interesting, philosophical and technological ideas and characteristics. Otherwise, i believe the majority of prospective viewers can truly enjoy this film. Also, I give the visual effects a thumbs up.

Incredible film. Enjoyed every minute. Was surprised at how much humour was through the film, but I guess in the face of an adverse situation, one would need to have a profound sense of humour in order to survive for so long had this situation been real. It certainly made you grip the edge of your seat and marvel at the creative process required to bring such a story to film. One of the best of its kind that I've watched and didn't fall asleep through. Job well done.

More fanciful than I'd expected, with a script that often didn't trust the audience, telling rather than showing.
