Beyond the Reach

Jean-Baptiste Leonetti's minimalist thriller Beyond the Reach stars Michael Douglas as Madec, a high-rolling corporate shark who hires a young tracker named Ben (Jeremy Irvine) to go into the Mojave with him in order to shoot rare game. Early in their hunt, Madec accidentally shoots a man, and, not wanting to spend time in jail, he concocts a plan to pin the man's death on Ben. This leads to a gruelling cat-and-mouse chase through harsh conditions.
