Great film! Nate Parker has made it to the top two writer/directors, choosing to highlight absolute realness no holds barred. It shows different americas with the mentioning of what other nationalities do when their people are mistreated by the judicial system but the expectation of the black and brown people(Blacks, hispanics and native americans) are expected to resist acknowledging pain nor do anything about it. The same people mistreated since cargo slaveships. a wiseman will see the connection. The character is strong, so are the brothas around him. It shows things will never change but you can. It begins with the black/brown man. what it must feel like to be the leader of a race and feel powerless to save the Elderly, women and children who need you to fight for them. The movie highlights the loss of power when the black woman stands up in front of the news but the movie highlights the gaining of power and respect with the woman foreman, Elderly and the child(Movie director) and Nate Parkers character. It shows the black and brown man must gain the respect in house /don't be afraid to strengthen self and it will cost you. My favorite part is when he spoke up about who he wanted to see this. A simple mind thinks he wants everyone to notice but it was a letter of example within his own world. This movie spoke a language within the language. You can tell all those who worked on this movie are very much aware of all the troubles are people face and every last thing was addressed. LOVE THIS MOVIE!

A great Movie. However, it saddens to the point of tears when such things happen in a country that holds it self on higher moral grounds than the rest of the world, and when it all comes to light, some people come up with statements like "Black on Black Crime". Things can only get right when all people are held to the same standards. The police takes an oath "to serve and protect". So, when they kill someone that is unarmed, then they should be prosecuted as criminals. No exceptions.

Great movie. For the people who gave a low rating dont understand or live the life thats talked about in this movie. In todays world i shouldnt have to have that talk with my son about cops but i did n do. Someone gave some stats saying 10 got killed n only five got charged clearly thts the problem. But if you dont live the life and dont have to deal with the double standards you probably wont like the movies once again i thought it was great.
