The Crooked Man

I'm a fan of Micheal Jai White but he was nowhere near the lead in this. This movie never succeeds at making "the crooked man" cemented in the physical world so it comes across as a cartoon physically attacking people. It fails at creating the mood of fear or anxiety so every jump scare fails. I like horror. This was Scooby-Doo level horror. It would have been way better with a van, a few college kids, a stoner and a talking dog. This movie gets 2 Scooby-Doo snacks only because they managed to convince Michael to boost a few scenes.

The only reason I gave this film a try was it was a lion's gate production. Horribly put together,bad acting, lots of errors and so on i would expect a film like this from uncorked production. The biggest dumb things all with one person. She lit a match to keep on the light and as soon as it was lit she blew it out !? And the (burned) herself on a fake candle! And the manual music box didn't match up with the music. Save your money!

Not very believable. The acting was so-so. Some scenes were almost laughably bad acting. Visual effects were decent enough to make the horrible acting tolerable. Hopefully this is a 1 and done and not redone.
