About this movie

Captain Sam Cahill (Maguire) is embarking on his fourth tour of duty, leaving behind his beloved wife (Portman) and two daughters. When Sam's Blackhawk helicopter is shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan, the worst is presumed, leaving an enormous void in the family. Brothers starts out as if it is another film, which adds flavor to it. Then, it goes into drama, then a scary war situation, then full blown chaos.... And Tobey Macguire brings that chaos like crazy. His performance is a tour de force and he should be in more films then he is in because of Brothers. This film is an emotional powerhouse that froze me in shock and awe. 4 but maybe more like 4 and a half. It could do a little more but it's a good wonder for sure.

The acting is fantastic in this film. I felt very moved by the story. I hope those suffering through ptsd can find their peace even if things don't make sense at first. No one is ever really alone in their struggles.
