Nearly 20 years ago, Owen Strand was the lone survivor of his Manhattan firehouse on 9/11. In the wake of the attack, Owen had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station. After a similar tragedy happens to a firehouse in Austin, Owen takes his progressive philosophies of life and firefighting and begins to assemble his new team of diverse and qualified candidates for Firehouse 126.

The crew races to a disaster at a wave pool, and an outbreak of mercury poisoning that is leaving its victims in a a zombie-like state. Meanwhile, Owen must come to terms with his illness and what the side-effects of treatment may do to his vanity. Also, Michelle follows a new lead on her missing sister while TK is unsure how to handle his budding relationship with Carlos.

Owen, Michelle and the 126 crew race to a rattlesnake infestation at a young family's home, and attempt to rescue a man with dementia from a dangerous scene that he created. Meanwhile, Owen adopts a firehouse dog with cancer and Michelle finally learns the truth behind her sister's disappearance. Also, a tragic accident shakes the team to its core.

Writers - Hey group! Let’s create a show and throw everything in in just two episodes- gay sex, racism, Botox, balding, transgender, anti Christianity, more gay sex between client and therapist. Audience - Would it be so hard to NOT have all these issues thrown in? The Great State of Texas - This is NOT a show that depicts the REAL Texas.

Ok Writers/Producers I have something to say. I love the Show and 911 But T.K and Carlos they Kill me so much They should Break Up like they make out and I skipped it in Just two Episodes in Season 1 First that is Just Werid, Writers That is Just Stupid Not Approtiate for kids I Stopped watching this show because of that and also there is Gay People in the other One And they dont kiss so who cares. I am really only Watching the New Episodes Only, This is Not The Real Austin TX That I know😒😒

I find this show interesting and enjoyable... However, I am disappointed that sexual content is a part of a show that children can see. I want to be entertained not insulted.
