In the series premiere, there is little time for adjustment as the department rushes to reach a plea bargain when a string of grocery store robberies turns fatal. After proving to be a valuable source for the case, undercover police detective and military veteran Detective Amy Sykes (series star KEARRAN GIOVANNI) is transferred to Major Crimes. Meanwhile, Raydor takes a big step to protect teenager Rusty Beck (series star GRAHAM PATRICK MARTIN) after he runs away from his foster family.
2 Before and After

Growing pains within Major Crimes become apparent as the division works to obtain justice in a brutal homicide that turns out to be more complicated than expected. Raydor struggles to gain the respect of her colleagues while also trying to supervise Rusty 24/7. The changes within the department may become more than Provenza can accept.

5 Citizen's Arrest
9/10/12
In a case involving a kidnapping-turned-homicide, the squad is pressured to work quickly before anyone else is hurt. Deputy District Attorney Andrea Hobbs (recurring guest star KATHE MAZUR -- The Closer) becomes a valuable resource in the case. Meanwhile, DNA evidence proves that Rusty is more closely connected to the justice system than anyone might have expected.
6 Out of Bounds
9/17/12
When a fatal shooting occurs in gang territory, Captain Raydor makes a bold move that could jeopardize her career and put Detective Sykes in harm's way. Meanwhile, Rusty makes it clear that he doesn't care to meet his biological father.
7 The Shame Game
9/24/12
In a case where political agendas rise to the forefront, Major Crimes has a tough time keeping important confidential facts from leaking. Making matters even more difficult for Captain Raydor, the Department of Children and Family Services makes a shocking discovery concerning Rusty. Recurring guest star IAN BOHEN (Teen Wolf, Breakout Kings) appears as Daniel Dunn.
8 Dismissed with Prejudice
10/1/12
When a murder conviction is overturned after eight years, Tao is forced to question his past actions. And Rusty struggles to be himself during his first outing with his father, Daniel Dunn (recurring guest star IAN BOHEN).
9 Cheaters Never Prosper

A man from Las Vegas is found dead after an apparent overdose, but the facts become unclear as gritty details begin to unfold. Meanwhile, a series of strange events leaves Rusty and Raydor wondering if Dunn (recurring guest star IAN BOHEN) can be trusted.
10 Long Shot

Great show=Love Sharon and Julio=best characters and stories are well written but do we really need Rusty mucking it up with his boyfriend? Sure throws cold water on each episode.

I would hate to miss episodes of The Closer but this show not so much. It's time to move on from the Rusty character, so annoying! Bring back Southland!

I did like "The Closer". But wasn't horribly discourage if I missed an episode. But with "Major Crimes" every episode gets recorded and watched at least 2 times before they get erased, if at all. Love the show.
