Solid reviews from horror websites such as Bloody Disgusting were what sent me to rent this. For those hoping for a diamond in the rough, like a Grave Encounters....this ain't it. Adds nothing to the found footage sub-genre except for all of the usual tropes.

Fun movie, has its flaws but overall a great time! Not scary but definitely creepy especially if you're familiar with the true stories it's based on. Acting is good all around, especially the lead actor, he's very charismatic and believeable, I'm sure we'll see more of him down the line. Looking forward to it having sequels!

The character of the podcaster is so annoying, always "on" and completely over the top that it detracts from the movie. Otherwise, if you can somehow get past "Mr. Annoying without an off switch," its not a bad movie.
