About this movie

"Getaway" is the gritty, heart-pounding action thriller from Warner Bros. Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment starring Academy Award® nominee Ethan Hawke ("Training Day," "The Purge," "Sinister"), actress and international music sensation Selena Gomez ("Springbreakers," "Wizards of Waverly Place"), and Academy Award® winner Jon Voight ("Coming Home," the "National Treasure" films) under the direction of Courtney Solomon ("An American Haunting"), who also produced the film.

Former race car driver Brent Magna (Hawke) is pitted against the clock. Desperately trying to save the life of his kidnapped wife, Brent commandeers a custom Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake, taking it and its unwitting owner (Gomez) on a high-speed race against time, at the command of the mysterious villain holding his wife hostage.

Rounding out the cast are Rebecca Budig and Bruce Payne.

I don't know what's worse; The acting or the camera. I was sick the whole time, from a mix of motion and disappointment. The plot, the characters, the casting, the constantly changing camera angles. It was all just bad. I tried to find a high point, but I'd rather watch sharknado than this. The worst thing about this movie is how seriously it takes itself. Learn something from The Expendables 2, if it's bad, laugh about it.

Unbelievably poor. I wasted money on this film. Cannot believe it. Straight out bad acting. Wouldn't get it or spend another dime on this movie. Good story, but I would suggest different actors for this type of film.

Just Pass. Awful acting, magically fixed sideview mirror. It was like a large budget junior high school A/V club movie... Mind numbingly bad camera angles, poor directing, horrible ending. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone that isn't a 15 year old boy in love with Selena... Even then.
