Although it is not her idea of a fun evening out, Julia finds herself heavily involved in helping at a school fundraiser in order to impress a former colleague. Kevin has a battle with the cloakroom, and despite Anne’s protests, Liz takes care of the bar.
4 The Pool Party

Julia must drop the kids off at a pool party before she can prepare for an important work event…but her plans are unexpectedly ruined. While in line at the newsagents, Liz notices a nice looking guy who accidentally leaves his wallet behind. Liz picks it up in order to return it later in the hopes of snagging a date. A new dad on the scene who has a past tie with Amanda annoys Kevin.
5 The Cavalry

Julia’s in-laws arrive to help while her husband Paul is away. Luckily, Kevin is around and loves old people. Amanda reluctantly gives Liz her old coat, which has a surprising effect on Liz.

Anne's carpool propels her into the limelight. Kevin finds himself in the role of confidant for Amanda, who shares a deep secret with him. Liz and Julia's friendship teeters on the brink.
7 The Caretaker

Julia’s childcare woes are over when she finds the perfect nanny, but her friendship with Liz becomes strained. Amanda keeps a low profile after Kevin blurts out her secret.
