The Last O.G

After he’s shot while getting jumped, Tray finds himself in a coma. His family’s prayers are answered when he wakes up but he finds himself confined to a wheelchair. As he rehabilitates at Roberta’s home, Tray has difficulty being intimate with Jasmine and runs into an old nemesis named Veesy.

With Wavy’s help, Tray tracks down the person who shot him to set things straight. Jasmine has second thoughts about her relationship with Tray. Roberta teaches Amira and Shahzad how to do household chores.

Tray lobbies for and gets a job at Wavy’s new restaurant, where he meets an old foe. After helping a teenager named Javi fighting outside the restaurant, Tray is inspired to bury the hatchet and help Veesy. Struggling with the pressure of applying to college, Shahzad seeks a different path. Josh assists him while learning to play several instruments.

After Veesy declines his help, Tray decides to get enough signatures to keep the community center open in secret. When the community board looks to be voting the other way, Tray must decide whether to rely on dubious tactics - and an old friend from the neighborhood - to turn the tide. Roberta gets really into home security.

Tray begins teaching at the community center and training Javi in boxing until his mother shows up, angry he’s been skipping school. After Jaybird turns up homeless, Tray helps him get back on his feet before setting out to convince Javi’s mom to let Javi continue training. Roberta asks Josh to lend her a hand with a home appraisal.

Tray’s cooking class is interrupted when a young man named Demar comes to tell his pregnant girlfriend Felicia they have to run from the police. Along with Veesy, Jaybird, Roberta and Miss May Miller, Tray tries to convince Demar to turn himself in. Josh dreads visiting his parents because of their outdated views of him and his past struggles with addiction.

After they find a suspicious hat in Amira’s room, Tray and Josh decide to follow her and find out whose it is. When confronted about their dating life, Amira’s mystery boyfriend tells her dads about a teenage hangout called the Smush House. At school, Shahzad’s classmate Rain makes him an unexpected offer.

Amira attends college presentations for Georgetown and Hampton, and her quick decision surprises Tray. Tray then works to guide Amira toward a better understanding of her identity. While cleaning out Roberta’s storage unit, Shahzad makes a discovery about her past. After she bristles at elaborating on it, Tray searches for a way to respect her decision but still learn more.

After Veesy convinces a Brooklyn artist to paint a mural for the community center, Tray approaches Mark Breland and Teddy Atlas to train Javi. When Javi lands a fight that conflicts with prom, Josh steps in to help Amira. Shahzad makes a special promposal at school.

Tray excitedly prepares for his kids’ high school graduation but is interrupted by an illicit request from Percy. After Tray helps a student out of a jam, Veesy begins to see Tray in a new light. Shahzad stresses over having to give a graduation speech.
