The final episodes. The writers didn't explore the characters and choices in meaningful ways. The show had all the opportunity to end amazing but feel short, forgot to be daring, and really forgot the characters. Too bad. Overall I enjoyed the show. Sometimes the writers made stupid decisions, and stayed safe. I think they forgot at times that the show was about a serial killer. The first seasons are filled with technical flaws but the last season the camera work and production value grows. Watch it.

This show was an example of how you can have a mix bag of good and bad writers. There was one season that it was really not consistent with the character and the ending also it was not consistent again with what he learn. Basically during the whole show keeps sparing the life the the killers, and later they come back to haunt him in some way. I feel they tried to be over dramatic over the end. A perfect example of mixed writing.

It's spectacular. Running from 2006 to 2013 with 8 amazing seasons. You never bore of it. And nothing is expected. Everything hits you emotionally and makes you really root or feel bad for the characters. Dexter is an interesting take on a serial killer who might also be a good guy. Only killing other criminals. The ending was...confusing. And not a good way to wrap up the show. So if you're expecting a nice little ending with no lose ends you're not gonna get that. But it's worth the watch!
