Since this show began gracing our screens last fall, Thursday nights have become the focal point of my week, because that's when a new episode of the great Alaska Daily airs. Hilary Swank accomplishes the unthinkable -- living in a mid-size American city -- while rocking a haircut that says, "I'm all New York, baby." The writing is canned, but the cast's earnest performances are what really take this show to the next level. Couldn't recommend a single better way to spend a Thursday night.

Quite simply: this show is up there with The Sopranos and Fleabag for Greatest Show of All Time. Ironic, campy, on-the-nose, and just poorly produced enough to make you wonder if the awkward moments are intentional or not. I loved the three month gap in the middle of the show's first season--it felt like H. Swank was ghosting me.

Shows the depth of humanity, the likenesses and differences between us all. Suspense already building even in the pilot. Can't wait for more episodes.
