i really love this short film animation, because it's a really relatable experience being a first generation Asian American. i feel for both the mom and the kid. for those people who gave this a one star for it being very traumatizing for their child/children, you guys just need to have a sit down with your young one and talk. just have an open mind and don't raise any snow flake, there are weird, mean, and crazy people out there in the world. this animation shouldn't be "very traumatizing".

Parent's should view movie's first before they allow their kids to see anything! This isn't for very young children who cannot grasp reality verses fantasy. Adults only have themselves to blame. Think first you know your child better then anyone else. It was cute i get it. The mom misses her son and sees her son as the dumpling. Out of her anger she eats him. Her son comes back and all is forgiven. Chinese told stories aren't always packaged so pretty. Grims Fairy Tales aren't either.

I dont understand why there is so much criticism towards the short film. To be honest, can't really understand how this can be traumatizing but I can at the same time. This short film is really Cute, Expressive and Sympathetic towards it's characters and theme. If a young child is scared, just have a talk with them to help them understand Everythings okay; that this is all pretend. The creators worked extremely hard on this so we should give them more credit. In all, i enjoyed this Short Film ^^
