One of the most important works of our time, _Gaming in Color_ explores the meaning of video games as an art form and the gamer identity; then delves into the GLBT side of the equation, explaining what it means to be a “gaymer” & why our community stands strong against hate, connecting over vast distances and across wide gulfs of location & culture. Destined to be a classic, this documentary will take you on a journey that challenges you to think differently about interpersonal connection and the way you play, and maybe even learn something about what it means to be human.

I felt like the first half of the documentary was catered to a non-gamer, non-queer audience, which I'm totally fine with but I thought the material covered there was very basic and elementary compared to the much more interesting discussions in the second half. The beginning just had extremely similar themes to what I've seen in two other gaming documentaries (Indie Game the Movie, and GameLoading).

An insightful look into the LGBT gaming community. This is a group that does not have the visibility in gaming they deserve, a group full of interesting individuals that hunger to have both the same experience as other players as well as new, more nuanced ones. One of the best documentaries about games I have seen.
