The Class

In the series premiere, Ethan's fiancee leaves him, declaring that she can't deal with his dramatic, overeager expressions of love. Impressed by Lina's defense of Ethan, Richie makes a connection with Lina and ends up leaving the party with her. Kyle apologizes to the still-furious Holly for a traumatic post-prom experience from their school days. Kat awkwardly attempts the cheer up the devastated Ethan after all the guests have left. And Duncan and Nicole find themselves renewing their long-dormant attraction.

Richie tries to cope with the furious Kat after accidentally injuring Lina. Fortunately, Lina is much more forgiving than her sister. Meanwhile, Duncan and the married Nicole deal with their renewed romantic feelings. And hoping to help their daughter's chances of being admitted to the academy where Kyle teaches, Holly and Perry host a brunch for Kyle and his boyfriend.

Richie helps take care of the recovering Lina, but she might be safer without him around. Kat tries to get even-tempered Ethan to express his anger towards his ex-fiancee. Nicole and Duncan realize they are going to have to spend a lot more time together than they expected after Nicole's husband hires Duncan to perform major upgrades on his and Nicole's house. And Holly reports the news live from the middle of an ever-worsening hurricane.

Adding to the stress of having Duncan around every day doing construction on her home, Nicole panics at the thought of her former and current lovers becoming buddies as Duncan bonds with her husband, Yonk, over videogames and football. Nicole's worst nightmare seems to be coming true when Yonk invites Duncan to test his new videogame and tag along for an Eagles game. Meanwhile, Holly's obsession with getting her daughter into Kyle's school becomes unbearable for Kyle and his boyfriend when she starts dropping by their home unannounced. Also, Richie and Lina attempt to go on a second date, while Kat sets Ethan up with one of her friends.

Ethan is mortified when Kat asks for multiple samples of frozen yogurt without ever placing an order or paying--and then dares him to do the same. After questioning her behavior, Ethan is forced to prove that he is not a wimp. Meanwhile, Lina struggles with her first day back at the office when she's unable to maneuver in her wheelchair. Feeling responsible, Richie hires Duncan to build wheelchair ramps for Lina's home, and as the guys bond, Duncan offers something else to help Richie out. Also, Kyle continues to have trouble dealing with Holly's intense desire for her daughter to attend the private school where he teaches.

When Holly gets a chance to impress her bosses while filling in for the weekend anchor, Perry advises her on her wardrobe--but his suggestion to wear her stiletto heels to report from a petting zoo on Halloween proves costly when she accidentally impales a bunny live on the air. The situation is exacerbated when the video of the incident spreads worldwide on the Internet. Meanwhile, after Kat criticizes Ethan's Superman costume and claims that she's stronger than he is, the two get into a wrestling match, and he won't release her from a headlock until she admits that he's tougher. While confined to her wheelchair, Lina gets creative and decides to be Franklin Delano Roosevelt for Halloween. And when Yonk takes Richie and Duncan to Atlantic City for one of his appearances, they end up gambling instead.

In a bar, Ethan and Kat are separately approached by two very attractive people who are supposed to meet each other for a blind date. But Ethan and Kat pretend to be each stranger's respective blind date instead, and Ethan gets into a difficult situation when he develops feelings for the girl, Sue, who thinks he's someone else. Meanwhile, Duncan reunites his high school band, Car Fire, and invites Nicole to see them play at a bar. Nicole must decide whether to hang out with her high school pals or attend a charity event on Yonk's behalf. Also, Richie and Lina grow closer after their first successful date at Duncan's gig.

Ethan gets into trouble while posing as the blind date of a woman named Sue. When she invites him to a birthday party, he doesn't realize that the bash is for Holly and Perry's daughter--and his former classmates might reveal his true identity. Meanwhile, Holly and Perry forget to confirm the puppet performers for their party, forcing Perry to improvise by singing. Also, Richie reveals a major secret to Duncan and Nicole.

The classmates learn much more about one another as they gather for various Thanksgiving dinners. Holly and Perry host Thanksgiving at their house, prompting Kyle and Aaron to get giddy with excitement when they find out that Perry and his father-in-law share a lot more than their love of Holly. Meanwhile, Richie is shocked to learn that Fern visited Lina to apologize for the accident that he caused. Also, Nicole and Yonk invite Duncan and Mrs. Carmello over for dinner and introduce Yonk's daughter, who is a little rough around the edges.

When a bee flies into his car, unlucky Richie accidentally crashes into a convenience store. Despite being threatened by the insect and coaxed by local law enforcement, Richie refuses to leave his car, as it provides the only safe haven from the chaos that currently surrounds his life. When news of Richie's mishap hits the local media, Holly is the first one on the scene to cover the accident, and Richie's classmates follow shortly thereafter, all hoping to convince him to leave his car.

After giving Yonk some thoughtful gifts for their first anniversary, Nicole is disappointed in his totally inappropriate present for her: a stripper pole. Duncan kindly advises the clueless Yonk to use his contacts to get Nicole tickets to Fashion Week, which she has always wanted to attend. Although he wishes he were with Nicole, Duncan is glad to see her happy at least. Meanwhile, Kat is annoyed by her perky photographer neighbor, Palmer, and it doesn't help when Ethan becomes attracted to Palmer. Also, Richie continues trying to win Lina back.

As his relationship with Palmer (recurring guest star JAIME KING) progresses, Ethan sends her a giant flower arrangement to show his affection. But after Palmer seems turned off by the gesture, Kat saves Ethan by reluctantly taking credit for the flowers. This prompts Palmer to confess that she has always had a crush on Kat--and Ethan imagines one of his biggest fantasies coming true. Meanwhile, Lina, Nicole and Duncan visit Richie's rough neighborhood to help him collect things from his apartment, and the group has an unfortunate encounter with Richie's estranged wife, Fern (recurring guest star SARA GILBERT).

Upon finding out that Lina and Richie have still not had sex, nosy Nicole urges Duncan to talk to Richie and find out what the problem is. Duncan learns that Richie has extremely low self-esteem regarding his prowess in bed, but he convinces Richie to give it a try with Lina. At the critical moment, however, Nicole and Duncan's meddling almost ruins Richie and Lina's evening. Meanwhile, Kat stalks a handsome guy but becomes nervous when Ethan arranges for her to meet him.

While talking to Ethan on the telephone, Kat gets distracted when her boyfriend, Benjamin (recurring guest star TRENT FORD), walks in, and she forgets to hang up the phone. Ethan, Kyle and Palmer (recurring guest star JAIME KING) listen in on Kat and Benjamin's private conversation, during which she reveals that she thinks Ethan and Palmer's relationship is based solely on sex. To Ethan's chagrin, Palmer then insists that she and Ethan not have sex for a while. Meanwhile, Duncan and Nicole individually confide in Richie about their relationship, but they soon find out what a terrible secret keeper he is. Also, Lina gets her leg casts removed and takes a few tentative steps.

Lina is so excited to host her first dinner party with Richie and the others that she tries cooking an exotic Moroccan chicken recipe. Unfortunately, no one has the heart to tell her how horrible it tastes. Richie is finally forced to admit the truth, leading to his and Lina's first argument. Meanwhile, Kat happily dates Benjamin Chow (recurring guest star TRENT FORD), the guy she was stalking, but worries about liking him too much. Nicole agrees to go on a diet together with Yonk (recurring guest star DAVID KEITH)--but Duncan tempts her into "cheating." And while working on a charity event speech with Yonk, football player JERRY RICE (himself) has to deal with Duncan and his mother, who are both huge fans.

On Valentine's Day, a snowstorm hits Philadelphia, stranding the former classmates at one another's homes. While redecorating Nicole's place, Perry makes the most of the snowstorm by cooking an elaborate meal for Duncan and Nicole. Meanwhile, Ethan tries to get rid of Kat and Kyle so he can spend some romantic time with Palmer (recurring guest star JAIME KING). And Richie's attempts to fight the storm and get to Lina's apartment prove futile.

When Ethan realizes that he doesn't have much of a connection with Palmer (recurring guest star JAIME KING), he tells Kyle that he intends to break up with her. But the next time Ethan sees Palmer, he decides not to stop dating her. Unfortunately, Kyle inadvertently reveals Ethan's original plan to Palmer--and now she's the one reconsidering the relationship. Meanwhile, depressed because Duncan is finally done working on her house--and thus won't be with her every day anymore--Nicole makes a big decision.

Having made the agonizing decision to leave Yonk (recurring guest star DAVID KEITH) so she can finally be with Duncan, Nicole only needs to pack her belongings before he returns home from lunch with Duncan and Richie. Unfortunately, this means the guys have to stall Yonk at a steakhouse by continuing to gorge themselves. Meanwhile, Ethan finds out something that could change his friendship with Kat forever.

After Yonk suffers a massive heart attack and must undergo quintuple bypass surgery, the classmates find themselves at a hospital once again, this time rallying around Nicole. Meanwhile, Ethan struggles with his newfound feelings for Kat.
