About this movie

Notorious religious satire, the film tells the story of Brian (Graham Chapman), a reluctant would-be messiah who rises to prominence as a result of a series of absurd and truly hilarious circumstances providing ample opportunity for the entire ensemble to shine in multiple roles as they mock everyone and everything from ex lepers, Pontius Pilate and the art of haggling to crazy prophets, Roman centurions and crucifixion. In what was the troupe’s third, and highly controversial, film, Monty Python delivers a scathing, anarchic satire of both religion and Hollywood’s depiction of all things biblical.

Although this is one of my favourite films, I can't praise it as the film I purchased dose not play. Also I saw this film in 1980 in UK so not sure about someone's comment about the ban.

No movie, no matter how great it is - this included - is worth paying the price that you're charging. €17.00 for a HD copy? I will download from another, cheaper source.

Now I'm a fan of most comedy, but I'm not really a Python fan. I do however love this and The Meaning of Life. I've seen this many many times over the last 30 years and watched it for the first time when I was far to young to be watching it. This is an absolute classic from start to exceptional finish!.......and I for one couldn't agree more, always look on the bright side!
