A pretty good adaptation of the Farley Mowatt novel. The character development is amazing to watch unfold. Charles Martin Smith plays the awkward outsider loner very well. You come to understand the Wolves well which is Mowatt's aim. An underrated gem.

When this movie came out, my father wanted to take me to see it. I said no. I am not interested. A few years went by, and I watched it on VHS. This is probably the most underrated movie ever made. It is about life and the universe, from the perspective of a study of Arctic wolves. Everything about this movie is a masterpiece.

I watched this when I was in High School back in the day. It is my favorite movie of all time. The music makes the movie, Hans Zimmer did a fabulous job. There are many issues that you can pull from this movie. It’s multi leveled. Yes, it’s slow but in today’s world it’s kind of nice to slow things down a little.
