“Remember the Titans” is an excellent portrayal of the struggles and perseverance of a now interracial school in Alexandria. It follows the true story of an American high school football team. The school is an all-white school and it begins to be integrated. There’s backlash after a new non-white coach is hired and the team becomes interracial. It wasn’t until camp that the team started to bond and become family-like. The students, players and coaches rally behind having an interracial team. The community is not as supportive. Bricks are thrown through the coaches window, the players aren’t allowed in restaurants, and threats are made. These are all ways that the community tries to push back. The community comes together when the teams performance improves, bringing in wins. The struggles the team faced with lack of support and losing their star player to a car crash; shows their dedication and love for football, which allowed them to rise to the top.

An amazing movie! Inspirational, motivating, and funny. Highly recommend everybody to watch this film! I had two options in my english class to write my final essay on, and without a doubt picked this one. Taught me a lot and I feel like I know these people, and the heartbreaking struggle they went through. Watch this movie and I'm certain you will feel the same way! (written by this users daughter, by the way).

Superb. This is one of my favorite football movies.I really love this movie.I own this movie too.I love the fact that black and white people came together, and the devil was defeated, because hatred, and prejudice is evil, and of the devil.
