About this movie

In the part second of the Tolkien trilogy, Frodo Baggins and the other members of the Fellowship continue on their sacred quest to destroy the One Ring--but on separate paths. Their destinies lie at two towers--Orthanc Tower in Isengard, where the corrupt wizard Saruman awaits, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dur, deep within the dark lands of Mordor.

Of all the movies in the world, this is the greatest. 1st- the extended version is the ONLY version. 2nd- Peter Jackson brings Rohan and the Ents to life is a classic, realistic way. 3rd- This cast is PERFECT. The acting is stellar and the things that don't line up with the book are appropriately done. 10 out of 10 for me!! ❤❤❤❤

one of those rare sequels that is better than the previous film. No purists you can't copy the book directly and there are actual legal and practical reasons why. The extended versions of LotR are better than their theatrical counterparts and add more depth. These aren't scenes just picked up from the cutting room floor they improve and already fantastic film. My son and I together love these films and you will too.

Only gave it four stars because Saruman does not die. But, now that they killed him of in this movie, it would be hard to explain the situation in the Shire when they return. If they would have explored that at a later time, (which I would have thought was a great idea), now they can't.
