I agree with Brenda Doberstein. They were lovers and went into hiding in the forest somewhere and lived happily ever after. If they had left the boat docked when they disappeared then people would still be looking for them. After day one they have only looked for the boat. Smart planning.

I'm frustrated that you couldn't hear me yelling at the TV, LOL. I kept telling you that the boat owner and the priest were lovers (something not at all accepted in 1967) still not at all today with priests.
