About this movie

Richard Pryor is Montgomery Brewster, a minor league baseball pitcher who discovers he has to blow $30 million in 30 days as a condition to inherit a much greater fortune. Here's the catch: He will forfeit everything if he reveals to a soul the real reason he seems to be throwing away all that cash. With the help of his pal Spike (John Candy), they set off on a frantic spending spree the likes of which would bring any self-respecting accountant to his knees. Ok, so the rules of the game are a bit odd (I mean, he could seemly hire anyone at any price so why not hire 30 people at 1 million for a month?) Anyhow, it's still a fun comedy and this is probably my favorite Richard Pryor performance on film. FYI, for a movie released in 1985 this is a fairly clean movie (no violence (other than punching)/nudity). It does have some swearing but it's very little really. It also seems like they specifically made this film for cable reruns.

This is a great old movie from 1985. It should not still cost ten dollars like some of the more recent movies do. Adjust fee and it is a 5, unless it won't play.
