About this movie

Novalee Nation (Natalie Portman), 17 and very pregnant, has never been part of a real home.  The closest thing to family for the hard-luck teen is her selfish, would-be musician boyfriend, Willy Jack, with whom she's traveling from Tennessee to California in a rust bucket that used to be a Plymouth.  A bathroom stop en route, at an Oklahoma Wal-Mart, changes Novalee's life forever.  For when she leaves the store, she discovers that Willy Jack and the Plymouth are gone. Forced to take refuge back in the store, Novalee has her baby in the aisles of Wal-Mart and becomes an overnight celebrity. At long last, Novalee begins to put her life together with the help of the quirky strangers who become her surrogate family.

I think this movie is amazing with a great life lesson. Even though bad things happen to us sometimes, if you hang on to hope and work hard for what you want it will pay off.:)

I liked it but i need find it a little bit boring. I felt like the main character was a little boring and lifeless (Even thought Natalie Portman is a great actress) There is a little bit of violence, sex and drugs in it. Its appropriate for ages 16 and up.

My favorite movie!!! I watched it so many times, and still can't get enough of it!! Shows the hardships of being a stranger in a new town and the hardships of finding love and hope while caring for a baby.
