About this movie

Bob Rueland (David Duchovny) loses his wife (Joely Richardson) in a car accident. A year later, still grieving, he meets Grace Briggs (Minnie Driver), a shy waitress an Irish/Italian restaurant run by her grandfather Marty (Carroll O'Connor). Bob immediately falls for Grace and she's attracted to him as well, but what he doesn't know is that a year ago Grace was the recipient of a heart transplant -- and that Elizabeth was the donor.

Such endearing characters and scenes of everyday living: the old men and their constant assessing "who's the best", and the overprotective, spiritual rock, grandpa (Carroll O'Connor), the lively, lazy husband (Jim Belushi) and his tolerant, tell it like it is wife (Bonnie Hunt), and of course the love story of the Heart that "belongs to" the main guy. The story that I cry about every time I watch it, is a great feel-good movie that grabs your heart early on, and holds you close right to end.

This has been one of our favorite movies of all time. My wife and have watched it countless times and it still holds the magic. it does an extrodinary job of capturing real family life with several kids in the home. The choas, the emotion and when times get tough, the love comes through. I would give this movie 10 stars if I could.

Ive been watching this movie since I was 10. 13 years later and I can still watch it everyday. Its a love story growing from a tragic incident but the characters still know how to make you laugh and keep you laughing throughout the whole movie
