About this movie

Vin Diesel reprises his role as the antihero Riddick in the latest chapter of the groundbreaking saga. A dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy, Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for him to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. With time running out and a deadly storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy. Also starring Katee Sackhoff (TV's Battlestar Galactica), Karl Urban (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Dave Bautista (WWE). Experience the Riddick Unrated Director's Cut with an alternate ending! (Original Title - Riddick (Unrated Director's Cut))

else here see this was a remake of pitch black. First he's on a planet stranded a hostile spieces. And bounty hunters trying to kill him led by the guy who's son Riddick killed in pitch black. And the scene where its raining and how he's carrying the ships power source. And how they all leave together. Remake. Also some of the lines were pretty cheesy if not stupid. Ex. "There are bad days then there are legendary bad days" or "instead of ending up on furia we ended up on planet called not furia"

This new Riddick movie is a movie that is purely based off the fact that Riddick, is a cool character. It is basically one minute after the other of stroking the idea and ego of the Riddick character being awesome. I had hoped that after the introduction that the movie would start to pick up, it didn't. I know that everyone is 5 staring this and maybe just like with the Fast and Furious crowd; this doesn't pander to anyone intelligent. The 1st and 2nd Riddick films were masterpieces, this 3rd one was well below even the quality of a Sci-fi original. I'm very disappointed in Vin's ending of this amazing character's story.

This movie was a letdown for me. I loved Pitch Black but this film not only had many plot holes but also very cliche characters. Some lines from the lead woman were out of place. They came out of nowhere simply to feed Riddick's massive ego. The plot was a lumbering monotonous mess. 3 stars for some decent action scenes but it took too long to get there.
