About this movie

Luc Besson (Director of The Fifth Element) presents this futuristic thriller about a renegade CIA agent (Guy Pearce, PROMETHEUS) who is betrayed by his government and sentenced to 30 years frozen in a cryonic chamber 50 miles above Earth. The only way to avoid serving time is a suicide mission – overcome a gang of ruthless prisoners and rescue the President’s daughter (Maggie Grace, Taken).

You can see Luc Besson's influence plenty throughout the movie. Guy's sarcastic wit pair well with the straight ahead action sci-fi. Unfortunately the movie's charm isn't as appreciaed as I think it should be. People with pinched tight buttholes aren't going to be able to have fun with this in all likely hood. It's an underrated space brawl.

Non-stop entertainment from beginning to end with brief and infrequent exposition. Harkens back to the adrenaline filled action films of the 80s. And Guy Pearce eats up his roll of the jaded protagonist.

Has a good amount of action, little bit of comedic parts and entirely scifi! What more could you want, now the only reason I put four stars is because when you watch it, it feels as if you've seen it before. Not sure if that makes sense.
