Howard Hughes wasn't crazy. With as many aircraft wrecks as he had survived he developed nerve damage and became a recluse because there was no treatment for the pain he was in. Today, his condition could have been treated but back then his only option was to turn to drugs like opiates. This is nothing more than a pale attempt by Hollywood to extract revenge on a man they saw as a threat. He was a true genius and this moving is a complete rewrite of history. I ask you to research the man and skip this movie...

The movie is unique, just like the man! To get an idea of what was intended choose the special effects interviews. Hughes's ex-wife, DiCaprio,Director and others participate. No one today has any idea of how many great inventions we owe to mr. Hughes? One example is satellite technology,[direct tv-etc.]Was he perfect? According to what I was taught no man but 1 ever walked on this earth perfectly.A movie buff I have enjoyed Aviator countless times!

Howard Hughes was a troubled GENIUS - I LOVED THE ENDING! American people respected his WW2 Efforts - and of course, The giant SPRUCE GOOSE! It looked like Hughes was motivated to prove critics wrong, and he DID! Very dramatic ending.
