The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

While while there are those who would love to say that this movie did not make the success that it was intended. I believe that the movie did what it was supposed to do to set up for the last in the trilogy. I think we can learn something from this movie; maybe take something away from this movie, that there is no revolution which can be stopped when there are people who are determined to live a better quality of life. Sociologically speaking, I believe this movie marks what many are going through today, a New civil rights movement if you will. Either way, I suggest anyone who has had an opportunity to see the first one to walk into the second one with an open mind and an open heart.

I absolutely can't get enough of this story. I had never heard of the books before the movies. I watched the first one because a great looking actress was in it. I was upset with the concept of government in this story. I was confused to how the first movie was with the political aspect. Liberal Hollywood tries to propagandize these movies targeted to teenagers. After seeing the second movie(catching fire), I was even more confused. Then I read the books. Read articles on the author and fell in love.

This is an engaging story that draws you in. You really feel the hopelessness and despair of living in this dystopia yet cannot suppress the desire to rebel against the Capitol. President Snow is the epitome of ruthlessness and the Capitol is the epitome of both ruthlessness enforced and also unthinkable decadence. The setting for the 'games' was very interesting and the side characters were great, especially Finnick. Jennifer's acting is top notch and the musical score is on point. And, of course, the ending definitely leaves you wanting more.
