About this movie

Lara inspires lechery in Komarovsky (her mother's lover who is a master at surviving whoever runs Russia) and can't compete with passion for the revolution of the man she marries, Pasha. Her true love is Zhivago who also loves his wife. Lara is the one who inspires poetry. The story is narrated by Zhivago's half brother Yevgraf, who has made his career in the Soviet Army. At the beginning of the film he is about to meet a young woman he believes may be the long lost daughter of Lara and Zhivago.

A grand Novella, a Suberb Soap Opera movie, set in War Torn Russian Revolution. Doctor Zhivago is a type of goofy Poet, very trusting, yet highly naive type of a Russian version of a "Forrest Gump" character; who stumbles, yet always survives with his family; and mistress in tow.

But I don't think I can ever make it all the way through it. Just like any Godfather movie or 2001, I fall asleep every time and each is still on when I wake up.

A David Lean classic. He'd done Bridge On the River Kwai, Lawrence of Arabia, and this one makes the magic trilogy complete. So many great things, too many to list. Ok, two- Sir Alec Guinness! And I never tire of Lara's Theme.
