Again the Hollywood machine decides to put forth, not the actual plot of the manwa but churns out an almost self censoring crap fetish on the same level of Abe Lincoln vampire hunter... No I actually say that even has its ambitions in comparison. I've read the actual book that priest is based on, and that is wayyyy more fantastic and psychologically badass then the one dimensional character tropes of the movie. Read the book, but don't be surprised on the pushing of boundaries and western religion.

Maybe it’s because I was a bit younger when I saw it, but this movie was awesome. Seeing a priest fight like some ninja was so epic. I don’t know why people dislike it, the plot wasn’t great but at least it was him fighting off evil. So it had some meaning. Wish it was deeper though.

I love the world they are building here... A zealous order of post apocalyptic combat priests VS vampires. They just left a lot of plot points in a fragile state. If u are willing to overlook a bit of careless handling... This film is enjoyable as some kind of cultish western vampire uprising.
