I'm a fan of this director & I've seen quite a few of his films. I enjoy strange weird & unique & a lot of his films personify that. Especially this particular one. I'm not going to say much about the film because I don't want to spoil the experience for anyone. But what I will say its a revenge story that goes in some very strange directions. This film is subtitled & I'm not a big fan of reading subtitles for 2 hours myself. But if you can get past that this is a film well worth checking out.

God damn April 16 two days before Disney World and I decide to buy my 9th Pedro Almodovar film. It seems that since the 70s Spanish film broke away from the rest of the world and decided to capture the essence of Spain. Almodovar brings a Nietze style of relationships with mothers and this one doesn't fall of off strange to say the least. His constant sheen in using bright colors for kitchen cutlery. Plus the cynical dive of the scenes throwing it's viewer around like an amused meat puppet.
