Not the best 'Alien' rip-off but definitely not the worst. Bright, crisp colors on all the underwater photography~ really beautiful. They had the best crew shooting the underwater cave stuff and it really shows. The creature has a cool design but it's rarely shown plain on film, better examined in the DVD special feaures. I like the various characters, it has a good cast. One of my favorites, not the greatest, worth a rental

I thought it was an alligator or a giant crocodile from the cover but it wasn't. Anyways I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, I mean don't get me wrong there's lots of plot holes and your left wondering um how'd that happen plenty of times but besides those things if you just went along with it its a decent movie.

If you've ever watched 'The Descent' this movie might put you to sleep in comparison. While the special effects are great, decent acting, but they didn't make you feel intimate and scared for the characters. It lacked suspense! Also, I didn't connect or care about any of the characters, so when they died, it didn't have much impact. Spend your money on 'The Descent.'
