Between this fillered adaption of the canon screenplay novel, the trailer being misleading, to the plothole of NaruHina being together, this movie deserves the 1 star. This storyline has many contradicting elements compared to the manga. Everyones character is very different compared to other novels set in the same time, Naruto being the most occ the most. Him giving up being Hokage, making filler "Hamura's chakra" for Hinata, and other filler from SP, it's just not a enjoyable movie to watch.

Narutos strength was played down so hard its ridiculous he never used any truthseeker orbs or levitated/flew which he can. Then there were the constant plot holes they just made up to better fit their little love story and Hinata was made super weak and useless and the combat was horrible with all the colored chakra it felt like dragonball z. Just lame, only good part was learning who Taneri or whatever is cuz i was confused watching the last boruto episode.

I have seen the Shippuden series, in its entirety, at least three times. I have been known to walk around performing hand arbitrary handseals. I occasionally shout out random justu names in Japanese when I am alone. I am, in short, a huge Naruto fan. . . Now, if somebody had told me one night that I would be abducted, taken to a comfortable room, forced to watch this movie, and only a ten dollar fee would alleviate me of this experience, I would have happily paid the fee. To avoid watching this movie. Because it sucks. The plot is terrible. It makes no sense. . . . .Closing the loop on Hamura's bloodline and legacy is a great idea. But Hinata - ostensibly a central character - undergoes no character development, continuing a trend of bizarrely underdeveloped female character. The action scenes are mediocre and unmemorable. The writers managed to take what should be an incredibly plotline - SUPERPOWERED NINJAS ON THE GODDAMN MOON - and make it dull and discombobulated. . . . The only reason this isn't getting 1 star is because it at least sets up Boruto, and advances the plot. There's also a cool mini-sequence featuring Kurama.
