Damn they ruined the whole story. The book is about Tric and her inner struggles, her fear of herself and making the right choices. It's about the journey from being a child in your own little world to growing up realizing the world is much bigger and more terrible than you ever imagined. The movie omited all the most important elements that made the book so good. They spent more time on the cgi futurist backgrounds and weapons they forgot to develop the characters. Everything is wrong, boring.

Only immature or intellectually limited viewers will find anything positive in this cheap movie. This is a completely failed story that makes no sense. No character and no plot element make sense. At best it is unintentionally funny but mostly it's just ridiculous. And no the effects and action are not good either but bad and worse. Acting is not credible but in this case it's not the actors fault. Also you really can't compare with HG franchise. In fact the HG books and movies are in a totally different league.

As far as a movie, I love it, but it is so off the books it drives me nuts. I could nit-pick but as far as the actors and how the movie is made, it's nothing but exciting adventures :) However, since it is so off the books, hopefully that means the ending of Allegiant will also be different. I cried for 3 days when I finished. The movies don't do the books justice. Just saying.
