About this movie

Denzel Washington stars as John Q. Archibald, an ordinary man who works at a factory and takes care of his family. But when John Q.'s young son needs an emergency heart transplant -- an operation that he can't afford and his health insurance won't cover -- John Q. will do anything to keep his son alive. As time and options run out, a desperate gamble becomes the only hope for John Q, as he takes an unwitting group of people hostage in the hospital emergency room. Now as many in the ER need medical care themselves and John Q. faces off with veteran police hostage negotiator and quick-tempered police chief, can a nonviolent end be found to a desperate situation?

Laws were and are still on the books that medical care can't be denied for a person who is in great need, with or without insurance. The hospital has staff that handle this type of situation, long before obamanation was forced down people's throats.

Heartbreaking Heartbreaking story of a dying child and what a parent would do and go through in order for their child to have live and not die. Even possibly sacrificing their own selves and not caring about their own lives but more importantly their child's. A really sad story.

This is one of the best most heartfelt movies of all time. Your heart breaks for his son in the movie and the acting is unparalleled by Denzel Washington. This movie is about heart and doing what you feel is right no matter the cost.
