I love this movie so much. Before Disney bought Star Wars, I would call this film "the Star Wars of our time." It doesn't try to do too much. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and it's loaded with POTUS-daughter-saving space prison action. I could watch this movie over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Fun, campy, just like an 80's action movie full of one liners and dumb action. I loved it. Not a cinematic masterpiece but totally nostalgic

It's entertaining enough. I wouldn't say you'd regret watching it, but to be fair, there are better action and adventure films. What sets this film apart though is a truly unique plot involving outer space. The action scenes are very well done and the suspense is indeed there.
