This film is such a powerful experience to watch, especially for those who are not only Asian and in this case, Chinese, but for all gay people who are minorities. The struggle of being true to yourself versus sacrificing the culture you grew up in is abundantly clear within the film and is a war that POC fight to often when it comes to their sexual orientation. It is also a perfect learning opportunity for White gays to understand and empathize with those experiences, struggles, and sacrifices.

It was beautiful, touching, the love scene was very well done, and the ending while not really an HEA, was not tragic.
