I started a Brian Cox fan page on facebook because of this movie, (subconsciously of course, as it was years later). I feel like most scream films are all sucker-punches. .of course I was surprised.. like a sucker punch surprise. Try scaring me when I wasn't already bored to death by nothing happening. Go ahead and be vague (Red Eye?) but the moment I feel sucker punched I'm gone. But this movie is a great thriller. The actors i think lack chemistry but they both are very professional in their performances. And there's really no character that turns out to be a red herring. I really hate that. The villian is evil, there's no gray area, and the hero is heroic. Peripheral characters aren't over-written or under-written, they all serve the plot well. And that's all you need to know for now. Btw, starting the Brian Cox page was done somewhat ironically, at first but also because I like he plays versatile roles, salt of the earth or deadly killer. But fyi, I've got 39 fans now who all have pointed me to a little film called Manhunter.

Cillian Murphy makes a creepy, and effective villian, and Rachel McAdams played the part of the nice girl who finally decided to stop being a victim and stand up for herself as she does whatever it takes to ptotect the people she cares about, and she does it splendidly. You are guarenteed to be on the edge of your seat in thus cat and mouse thriller that is loaded with suspense, and gripping drama. One. of my favorites!

For what it is, it's great. Better than most other PG-13 thrillers. Acting is top-notch. Length feels just right. The score is surprisingly solid. 3rd act is a bit too cookie-cutter, but overall, it's a great popcorn movie that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
