Memoirs Of A Geisha

After watching this movie and doing some research, it's clear enough that the author and Hollywood do not understand the concept of the geisha at all. The film is rife with historical inaccuracies and the romantic chemistry is somewhat cringeworthy. The characters I enjoy are either the side characters or the antagonists. The main protagonist, Chiyo Sakamoto/Nitta Sayuri, I found her to be somewhat annoying and unlikeable due to her being submissive and whiny. The only saving grace is the music

This is beautifully made & acted!! I love everything from the GORGEOUS kimonos, to the characters! & what happens after the war. Its just pure gold to me!! An amazing movie with a little bit of a hidden history lesson!! 😉

the movie was trash. it skips out on a lot and if you never read the book you don't really understand a lot. the book however was magical I've read it 8 times.
